Teamsters and America's YouthTeamster Local Union No. 170 Wins Grant

Local 170, Worcester, Massachusetts

January 7, 2003

Teamsters Local Union No. 170, in Worcester, Massachusetts won grant funding from the Greater Worcester Community Foundation (GWCF) to promote its Buffalo Soldier presentation at Worcester Public Schools during Black History Month. For the past three years, the Local has been sponsoring the Buffalo Soldier presentation to thirty schools in the Worcester area each February.

Grants are nothing new to Local 170. Currently, the Local applies Massachusetts Department of Transportation grant funds to its Commercial Drivers License (CDL) training program. Hats off to Local 170 for really making a difference in the Worcester area.
