Teamsters and America's Youth

The increasing number of Teamster School-to-Work initiatives by Local Unions and Joint Councils across the United States is having an impact on the nation’s efforts to prepare America’s Youth for tomorrow’s economic opportunities.

These initiatives are a part of a broader commitment by Teamsters across North America to support young people in becoming good citizens, lifelong learners and productive workers.

This broad commitment manifests itself through a variety of activities ranging from support for anti-drug programs in schools, to scholarships for young people to attend post-secondary education.

Some of the current activities being undertaken by Local Unions and Joint Councils to support America’s Youth are briefly described below:
