Students of Labor Apply Today

Graduate School Assistantship Open to Labor Studies Students

Penn State's Department of Labor Studies and Industrial Relations is offering a two-year graduate assistantship for a labor-oriented student interested in pursuing a M.S. in IRHR and a career in the labor movement or the field of labor education. The assistantship provides a minimum of $10,000 in financial aid in return for a 10 hour a week internship over two semesters. The internship will involve work in Penn State's labor education program. In most cases, an opportunity to participate in a summer internship with a union will also be provided.

The deadline for application is April 15, 2005 for Fall 2005 matriculation. A candidate must have finished a bachelor's degree prior to Fall 2005.
